A new work for the Euphoniumstore. A super virtuoso work from the pen of Austrian composer Thomas Doss.

Thomas Doss writes:

"The Shameran is an old oriental folk dance full of symbolism in which a female dancer-often on the occasion of a wedding-balances a candelabra on her head as a token of spiritual light. In this work, the euphonium takes up the role of the dancer. At the very beginning, the soloist already has the opportunity to shine in an unaccompanied recitative. The soloist and piano alternate, and in the course of the work, the piano also plays an important part with various technical highlights.

Challenging music with much to enjoy."

This is an advanced work for experience players, but it's a fantastic challenge. This work was dedicated to Anton Forstner as a thank you for the years of support to win Music in the Linz-Land district.

The title page of the score also dedicates this work to the Italian euphonium virtuoso and teacher, Luciano de Luca
