Here is the popular solo Caprice by Ray Woodfield. This solo  has been around since the late 1970's but still this is sure to have a popular appeal.

This version is for wind orchestra/harmonie accompaniment. The version with piano accompaniment is also available on this site. Listen to a recording made by Robbert Vos wirth brass band acc. 

It's a fun fast jazz waltz with frequent fast scales and intervallic phrases, with a showy cadenza in the middle of the work usually members of the band are invited to pick up percussion instruments to add to the carnival atmosphere!
